This pendant captures the geometry and spirit of Prehispanic cosmology: a medallion with Aztec calendar pattern in high relief, bordered with green opal mosaic that catches warm light. The center is a labyrinth of carved symbols; the rim, a succession of square-set stones, each one place by hand. It is not a fashion ornament — it is a portal to five centuries of Taxco, where silversmiths continue the tradition of translating sacred geometry into sterling.

The combined technique of Taxco unites two crafts: lost-wax casting, which defines form and symbols in relief with watchmaking precision, and hand-setting, where each fragment of opal of fire is fixed individually without press or machine. Green opal is the stone of protection and calm in tradition; here, each warm flash of fire captures light with singular character. Lost-wax technique is prehispanic heritage: the Mexica knew it; Taxco perfected it.

Taxco did not invent silverwork. It inherited it across five centuries of mining and craft: from the colonial era, when Guerrero's silver reached these volcanoes, to today, when the Arte Taxco studio continues that chain. Every prehispanic pendant is an act of continuity — not nostalgic imitation, but confirmation that geometry and symbol matter, that pure silver matters, and that human hands remain irreplaceable. The Arte Taxco story is the Taxco story.

This pendant measures 3 × 2 cm: the size of a 2-peso coin, noticeable presence at the neck without overwhelming. Sold as the stone only — the chain is your choice (silver, leather, cord). Buy risk-free: if you ever change your mind, the Lifetime Buyback Program repurchases your pendant up to 35% in store credit, no expiration.
