This ring captures the magnificence of the Aztec calendar, with its concentric circles of symbols and the central sun face. Every detail was hand-carved by Taxco artisans who master the ancestral technique of silver chasing. It is not costume jewelry: it is an authentic interpretation of Mesoamerican cosmology, crafted in the noble metal that ancient Mexicans revered as sacred.
The .925 silver in this ring does not fade or lose value. On the contrary: over time, it develops natural patina and presence. It is a jewel for those who respect history, understand that prehispanic design is a living legacy, and seek something beyond fashion. Taxco, the cradle of silversmithing since the Colonial era, remains the epicenter of this craft.
Each ring from this lot is unique: minimal variations in carving, natural patinas, and marks of the handwork process make it irreplaceable. Not mass production. Pure craftsmanship, made to last generations.

Frequently asked questions
Q: What does the design mean?
A: It is the Aztec Calendar, a symbol of Mesoamerican cosmology. The center shows the Sun's face (Tonatiuh), surrounded by circles with symbols of days, months, and time cycles. Pure history in silver.
Q: Does the silver tarnish?
A: Yes, it naturally develops patina over time (controlled darkening). This is normal and adds presence. You can clean it with a soft cloth or leave it as is if you like the vintage effect.
Q: Can I change the size?
A: Yes. Email hola@artetaxco.mx with your size and we adjust or reconstruct it in Taxco in ~2 weeks.
