Any piece of jewelry you buy in our store, we will buy back. Forever.
At Arte Taxco, we believe that good silver does not depreciate over time: it changes hands, lives new stories, transforms. That's why we created the "Jewel for Life" Program: the first and only commitment in the Mexican artisan jewelry market where we will buy back any piece we have sold you, whenever you decide, with no expiration date.
Your Certificate of Authenticity is the document that activates this program.
When you buy any piece at Arte Taxco, you receive a Digital Certificate with a unique folio by email. That folio is your guarantee. To activate the buyback, you only need to present it — there are no further requirements, no fine print.
The exact percentage you are entitled to (up to 70% for pieces without stones, up to 35% for pieces with stones) is recorded on your certificate from the moment of purchase. You can verify it at any time at certificados.artetaxco.mx.

How it works — in 3 steps
- You decide to return your piece. It can be after a month, a year, or twenty years. There is no deadline.
- You send it to us. You cover the shipping cost. Upon receipt, we will appraise it and, if it has damage, we will send you a repair quote for your approval.
- You receive your refund in an Arte Taxco electronic wallet, ready to use on any piece in our store.
How much do you get back?
The percentage depends on how long you kept the piece and whether it has a stone or not. The sooner you return it, the higher the percentage.

The percentage is calculated on the price you originally paid for the piece, not its current value.
Clear program rules
- The wallet is used at Arte Taxco. It is not a cash refund; it is credit in your favor for you to choose your next piece.
- Covers up to 50% of your next purchase. This ensures that your new piece also excites you — it's not just an exchange, it's an upgrade.
- The wallet expires in 24 months. Enough time for you to find your next favorite piece.
- Minimum refund: $200 MXN. The program does not apply to low-value pieces.
- Prior repair quote. If your piece arrives with damage from use, we will notify you in writing of the repair cost before processing your return. You decide if you accept it.
- You cover the return shipping. It's the only cost you pay to use the program.
Second Life — for pieces you bought from others
Do you have silver pieces from other sources that you no longer use? We also accept them.
Send us photos of your pieces to hola@artetaxco.mx with a brief description, weight in grams, and origin of the jewel. Our team evaluates the weight, purity, and condition, and we send you an appraisal. If you accept it, you send us the physical piece and receive an Arte Taxco wallet to choose any piece from the store.
Pieces we receive in good condition enter our "Second Life" line: reconditioned jewelry with its own documented history, sold at a more accessible price than new pieces.
It's our way of honoring silver: not a gram is wasted, no piece is forgotten in a drawer.
Why do we do this?
Fine silver jewelry is a durable good. .925 and .950 silver maintains its value for decades — well cared for, it lasts a lifetime. But tastes change, relationships change, people change. A piece you loved 5 years ago may no longer represent you today. That doesn't mean it has to end up in a drawer.
The "Jewel for Life" Program is our way of closing the loop: you refresh your jewelry box, another customer discovers a piece with history, and we recover the craft that Taxco artisans have been perfecting for over 80 years.
